Facilities

Our SANCTUARY was built in 1975 and seats approximately 350 people.  Besides accommodating three of our Sunday services, the Sanctuary is used for Bible studies, other worship services, special events (e.g., live simulcasts, the Living Last Supper at Easter,) weddings and funerals.

Church-related activities and programs take place daily at all hours of the day in portions of our buildings, including the two-story FELLOWSHIP CENTER.  Completed in 2000, the Fellowship Center houses our administrative offices on the first floor and classrooms on the second.  It also houses a gymnasium, where AWANA meets on Tuesday evenings, and a full kitchen.  Other activities include church suppers, Bible study groups, choir rehearsals, adult education, youth activities and many more.

The LAKEWAY CHURCH CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL BUILDING opened in January 1989, in its own building with offices, classrooms, a central "big" room, modest kitchen facililties and rest rooms especially for small children.  The Preschool now has 27 employees and serves approximately 200 children.

An undreamed of opportunity appeared in 2002.  Through the grace of God, we were presented with the unique opportunity to be able to purchase 14.9 acres adjoining the back of our property.  This land will allow us to build additional facilities as necessary.

One of these new facilities, the STUDENT & CHILDREN'S CENTER, opened in January 2010.  This 14,000 square foot building is entirely dedicated to the youth of our church and area kids.  The first floor houses a children's worship center and brightly-colored classrooms geared to kids from 2 years old through 5th grade.  The second floor is a high-tech, vibrant area containing a student worship center, computer room, media room, welcome center and the One Way Cafe, serving cappuccinos and pastries before and after the 11:00 Generation 2 Generation contemporary family worship service.  We are very excited about the fabulous opportunity this new building affords The Lakeway Church to reach out to more children and students in the Lake Travis area.  Take a pictorial tour of the SAC HERE.

We are also blessed to be able to provide a beautiful and peaceful MEMORIAL GARDEN, with a columbarium where the cremated remains of loved ones are burried.  The Memorial Garden has its own entrance and enclosure and is tree-lined with walks, sculptures and water features.  Bronze plaques, which show the names and dates of birth and death, commemorate those whose ashes are interred there.
